With the anthology “30 Tage Sozialarbeit: Berichte aus der Praxis“ (30 days of Social Work: reports from practice), Monika Vyslouzil and Peter Pantuček-Eisenbacher issued a publication in 2015 that addresses the profession from the angle of practical experience: In easily readable essays, professionals from diverse occupational fields describe the framework conditions, challenges, and successes they encounter in their everyday work.

But how is the profession perceived by the people who come into contact with it as “clients”, either voluntarily or without their own choosing? What experiences, stories, and images do they associate with Social Workers? What do they perceive as helpful, amusing, or burdensome?

In the course of writing a follow-up volume, the project surveys, collects, and processes the stories and images of Social Work users and makes them fit for publication.
