Application Practice of Case Management in Austria

Case Management Anwendungen in Österreich

Case management has also been gaining in importance in the Austrian social and health sector for some years. It is important to note that the models differ markedly in terms of their definition, action-guiding principles, and methodological design. Also in terms of the employed case managers’ qualifications and the organisational and socio-spatial anchoring, a high degree of diversity can be identified.

In this master project, students address the specifics of Social Work case management and develop a catalogue of criteria along which the application practices can be subjected to a critical assessment. The results are then made available to the examined institutions in order to promote the expert discourse and the further development of case management in Austria.
