“Grätzl Hubs” for Good Neighborly Relations, Comprehensive Health, and Climate Protection

Development of Community Projects in/for St. Pölten

This project is dedicated to the collaborative development (together with residents and other relevant stakeholders) of community projects in St. Pölten. In this context, questions pertaining to good neighborly relationships and inclusive housing are to be connected with, for example, health and climate protection concerns (circular economy, alternative mobility).

In terms of methodology, a process that is strongly based on action research is to take up experiences, results, and access to earlier projects (on the topics of inclusive housing, community work, etc.) and link them to theories and best practices of community work, green Social Work, circular economy, transition towns, etc.

Specifically, this could result in, e.g., a project to strengthen neighborly solidarity and joint projects around the UAS campus, and/or a community center for a planned housing estate in the UAS’ vicinity.
