Inclusive Mobilities

Unequal mobility opportunities represent a key factor in social exclusion. This project addresses current challenges and explores innovative solutions to inclusive mobility. Its aim is to identify strategies to combat mobility poverty and improve access to mobility for disadvantaged regions and population groups.

The project investigates existing research and analyses on mobility poverty, the right to mobility, and theoretical frameworks of inclusive mobility. Students examine problem areas and challenges affecting disadvantaged regions and population groups. They also explore the links to and interconnections with broader social issues such as poverty and identify best-practice examples from Austria and abroad to illustrate the potential role of Social Work. Project participants critically discuss how Social Work can contribute to developing and implementing innovative solutions that promote equitable access to mobility.
