Social Work in Emergencies – the Examples of Acute Social Work and Emergency Duty Social Work

Team des Projekts Sozialarbeit im Notfall am Beispiel Akut-Sozialarbeit und Emergency Duty Social Work

The increasingly interconnected health and social care landscape requires Social Work to adopt innovate approaches towards tackling emerging problem situations. In particular, it seems essential to (further) develop the concept of low-threshold mobile resources which are available 24/7 at the interface of established service and care providers.

This research project is dedicated to the question of how to work with future Social Work indications in Emergency Social Work. The research design is characterised by a multi-perspective approach through systematic literature research and empirical fieldwork. The current far-reaching transformation in health care justifies research into an interdisciplinary topic and highlights its important role in the further expansion of competences in Social Work in this field.
