With her appointment as Associate Professor of Public Health at University of Maribor, the scientific excellence of Eva Turk has once again been recognised.

Shaping the Future of Digital Health

As a Senior Researcher at the CDHSI – Center for Digital Health and Social Innovation at USTP, Eva Turk leads the Inclusive Digital Community Care research group and advances key future-oriented topics: How can digital transformation make healthcare systems more inclusive and sustainable?

In the current research project 3WinPA, for example, Eva Turk and her team have developed a new tool to support informal carers. As part of the European Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) JTC 2025 programme, she is also collaborating with an international team on the use of social robots to support older migrants.

Connected Across the Globe

Eva Turk actively contributes to the development of international strategies in the fields of digital health, data governance and health technology assessment:

  • Board Director at Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi)
  • Co-Chair of the WHO Europe Strategic Partnership Initiative for Data and Digital Health

Through these roles, Eva Turk brings both specialist expertise and direct access to international decision-making and policy-shaping networks.

Her work helps ensure that digital innovations in healthcare are implemented responsibly and on a sound scientific basis – a key area for the future of research and teaching at USTP.
